Rockminsolutions Pty Ltd are pleased to announce they have been granted four new exploration licenses, namely EPM 27970, EPM 28613 and EPM 28896. These four areas alone contain hundreds of millions of tons of unique basaltic ignimbrite that are outliers to the Buckland Tableland already covered by EPM 27596. These thinner deposits are more accessible and we believe more suitable for crushing and spreading on agricultural land to improve fertility and draw down carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through enhanced weathering.
These resources of easy to crush basaltic ash have the potential to be a significant part of the mix to meet the large CO2 offsets that are legally enforced on fossil fuel producers and miners.
When applied to agricultural land, our deposits of volcanic ash (non-welded ignimbrite) have the potential to drawdown one ton of CO2 from the atmosphere for every five tons of applied basaltic ash. The improved fertility, structure plus water-holding capacity of the soils will offset the cost of mining and transporting this material.
